World Spa Awards has unveiled its 2026 honourees, celebrating quality across the worldwide spa and wellness sector. In its twelfth year, the event identifies leading spas, wellness retreats, brands, and experiences establishing the benchmark for success in a fast-moving market.
Headline winners and global brands
Topping the list of this year’s accolades, the Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York secured the prestigious ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa’ title. Italy stood out with Lefay SPA World at Lefay Resort & SPA Dolomiti claiming the ‘World’s Best Resort Spa’ award, and Palazzo Fiuggi maintaining its position as the ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat’. Completing the major awards, WORLD SPA in New York was honored as the ‘World’s Best Day Spa’.
In the global brand categories, Natura Bissé captured the title of ‘World’s Best Spa Brand’, while Aromatherapy Associates was recognised as ‘World’s Best Aromatherapy Brand’. Sense, A Rosewood Spa, earned the title of ‘World’s Best Hotel Spa Brand’ for the first time. Six Senses reclaimed ‘World’s Best Wellness Retreat Brand’ for the third time.
Winners of the new-opening categories included the Guerlain Wellness Spa at Waldorf Astoria New York, crowned ‘World’s Best New Hotel Spa’ following its transformation. Asaya Spa at Rosewood Mandarina, Mexico, secured ‘World’s Best New Resort Spa’, while Six Senses London earned the title of ‘World’s Best New Wellness Retreat’.
The world’s largest Guerlain spa spans 22,000 square feet and combines the heritage of two luxury names with a contemporary focus on wellbeing.
Specialized spa environments and design
Awards also extended to non-traditional spa settings. Air France by Sisley was named ‘World’s Best Airline Lounge Spa’, and Ocean Wellness at Explora Journeys received the ‘World’s Best Cruise Spa’ title. The Spa at Desert Rock in Saudi Arabia was honored with the ‘World’s Best Spa Design’ award.
Ibu Ketut Mursi – Intuitive Blind Healer at Mandapa Spa at Mandapa, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, Indonesia, received the coveted title of ‘World’s Best Spa Signature Treatment’.
